This private safari with a 4×4 safari minivan (4×4 safari land cruiser is available at an extra cost) and a driver-guide who is experienced in spotting wildlife, will visit Amboseli with the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro on the horizon. Experience the rolling plains, the picturesque Taita Hills and the lava flows, all in a plateau dotted with acacia, scrub and bushland of Tsavo West and the large herds of “red” elephants in Tsavo East.
Day 1
You will be picked up early from your beach resort or Moi Airport and depart for Tsavo West to arrive for check in and lunch. The Park is set with gently rolling plains, the picturesque Taita hills and lava flows all in a plateau dotted with acacia, scrub and bush land. This is home to a variety of wildlife including the famed Tsavo elephant and lions. Have a short rest and depart for an afternoon game drive from 3pm until sunset and if time allows, visit Mzima Springs. Thereafter return to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge.
Day 2
Early morning game drive and return to your lodge for breakfast. Thereafter, drive to Amboseli National Park through the Shetani Lava flow to arrive in time for lunch. Amboseli National Park is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro which is the second largest mountain in the world. It dominates the landscape, and open plains. After a brief rest, head out for an afternoon game drive from 3pm until sunset when you will return to your lodge. You will have lunch, dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Day 3
After an early morning game drive return to the lodge for breakfast. Thereafter check out and depart for Tsavo East to arrive in time for check in and lunch. The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling, and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This along with the 300-kilometer long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world makes for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East. In the afternoon have another exciting game drive till sunset. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Aruba Lodge.
Day 4
Early morning game drive and return to your lodge for breakfast. Thereafter and with a game drive enroute depart for Mombasa/Diani where you will be dropped off at your beach resort or at the airport in the afternoon. End of our services.
Day 5
Enjoy an early breakfast at 6:30 am, followed by an extended morning game drive until 10:00 am. This is an excellent opportunity to spot the big cats of Tsavo. Check out of the park between 10:00 am and 10:30 am via Bachuma gate. Then, drive back to your hotel, arriving in the evening.
